03 — YOUR COACH
Hi, I'm James.
From a small surf town in the UK called Widemouth Bay. I started snowboarding in 1993 and have ridden all winter, every winter, since '98.
Now I'm an experienced and hands-on snowboard coach with a career built on the international stage. I take a personal approach with every rider, creating custom training environments that help people perform at their best and reach high-level, specific goals.
I'm equally focused on performance, wellbeing and building strong, resilient riders. Most recently I've taken teams to the Paralympic Games, Dew Tour and X Games.
I love snowboarding and coaching. I hope I can share that with you.

05 — About Rusutsu
Why Rusutsu.

Rusutsu Resort is a well-balanced, highly efficient mountain split across three interconnected areas. That makes it easy to organise groups by ability and maximise training laps.
The terrain mix — long consistent groomers, extensive glade riding, and natural features — supports everything from high-level carving and technical drills to freeride skills like line choice and reading terrain.
The snow quality is a major advantage. Light, powder snow lands often, on a mountain that stays low on congestion. For a high-performance program, it's the perfect venue for all-mountain mastery and progression-based coaching.
